I make Runes, because I am a child of the ancient forest. The frequency around trees are important to navigators. Runes are part of the navigators relationship with the ancient world.

Navigators of The Hidden Realms

When making tree-runes, the branch has fall to the ground on its own or during a storm. An ancient runemaker never makes runes from a branch that has been cut from the tree, nor from a tree that has been cut down. Rune Navigation requires clarity of vision and clarity of purpose.

I collect tree branches from the forest after a storm. One complete set of runes comes from the same branch. I see the navigation coming from the source of one tree. I gather branches in an protected area I know has a certain power.

OrgonArt - Eldar Futhark Runes

I cut the runes using A handsaw. I use coarse and then fine sandpaper to create a smooth surface. I burn the rune into the wood using a fine soldering iron. Where possible I leave the bark on the wood. The runes are (untreated), although the wood surface can be treated with beeswax or linseed oil, or the rune surface can be varnished with shellac.
